세계보건기구(World Health Organization)에서는 개인의 기능, 장애, 건강상태를 설명하는 통합적 관점의 분류체계인 ICF를 각국에서 사용하도록 권고하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 건강관련정보를 구분하는 국제 분류인 ICF의 국내 활용방안을 제안해 보고자 하는 것이다. 연구방법은 국제적인 활용실태에 관한 논문 및 보고서와, WHO-FIC 국제회의에 제출된 일본 자료 및 일본의 임상적 활용에 관한 연구 논문을 중심으로 한 문헌고찰이다. 특히 일본의 ICF 활용방안을 고찰할 때에는 WHO에서 제시하는 ICF의 목적과 적용을 중심으로, 통계적, 임상적 분야에 초점을 맞추었다. 연구결과 ICF는 국가적 비교 통계 수집이 가능하며, 국내의 정책적, 임상적 변화를 도모할 수 있는 분류체계로 활용가능하다는 것이 드러났다. 또한 다학제 간 연계와 장애와 건강에 관한 통합적 관점을 강조하는 분류체계임을 알 수 있었다.
The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) is the classification framework on the functioning, disability and health related states. The ICF can be used in various ways, across many fields of application. WHO has recommended to use variously from around the nations. The aim of this study intended to suggest the application strategies of the ICF as an international classification in Korea. According to the objects and applications of ICF agreed by WHO in 2001, This study explored applications in many fields worldwide which were policies, statistics, clinical practice and so on. This study method used mainly literature review, especially in the field of statistics and clinical fields, the application of the ICF in Japan was reviewed by relevant articles, WHO-FIC meeting fosters and reports. This study concludes that the ICF is revealed it is possible indicators to be comparative data collections across the inter-nations. Also ICF is reflected in the multidimensional model and provides a multi-perspective, biopsychosocial approach on functioning and disability.
